ENMSF Steer Judge Jim Williams stated this young man was setting an excellent example for the younger exhibitors with his leadership, attitude, show ring presence and showmanship. That is why Wesley Burnett’s name was added to the list of Senior Exhibitors Striving for Excellence at the Eastern New Mexico State Fair. This traveling Trophy is in Memory of Gary Caviness, created by Dr. Leonard Blach in October 1996, This trophy is sponsored by Runyan Cattle. The recipient is voted on by the fair board members and superintendents of the Eastern New Mexico State Fair. This trophy is awarded to the all-around senior exhibitor that has demonstrated the following: · Promotes cooperation and cooperative attitude · Develops competent and assertive leadership · Strengthens the confidence of fellow exhibitors in themselves and their work · Exhibits character, promotes citizenship, volunteerism and patriotism · Excellence in scholarship · Achievements in project(s)
